The Relationship Between Renewable Energy Consumption and Economic Growth in OECD Countries

Bu çalışmanın diğer çalışmalardan farkı, 2019 yılında GSYİH'larını %70,22, fosil yakıt kullanımını %5,18 ve yenilenebilir enerji kullanımını (hidro hariç) %400 arttıran OECD ülkeleri için yenilenebilir enerji tüketimi ile ekonomik büyüme arasındaki ilişkinin araştırılmasıdır. Bunu yaparken 1990-2019 dönemine ait yıllık verilerle 20 OECD ülkesi için reel GSYİH, yenilenebilir enerji tüketimi, reel brüt sermaye ve işgücünü analiz etmektedir. Öncelikle serilerin durağanlık derecesini belirlemek için durağanlık testleri kullanılmıştır. Daha sonra heterojen panel eşbütünleşme testi ile eşbütünleşme ilişkisi test edilmiş ve eşbütünleşme ilişkisi bulunmuştur. Tüm değişkenlerin katsayıları pozitif ve istatistiksel olarak anlamlıydı. Ek olarak, hata düzeltme modellerinden elde edilen bulgulara göre hem kısa hem de uzun dönemde yenilenebilir enerji tüketiminden ekonomik büyümeye doğru tek yönlü nedenselliğin olduğu elde edilmiştir. Dolayısıyla sonuçlar, yenilenebilir enerji tüketimi ile ekonomik büyüme arasındaki karşılıklı bağımlı ilişkinin büyüme hipotezini desteklediğini göstermektedir.
